Help Community Ministry stay in our neighborhood
Community Ministry is a local non-profit organization, founded in 1968 as a thrift store and has grown to become a major contributor in helping the under-served with basic needs in Southwest Denver, Colorado. They have been located at 1755 S. Zuni Street for the past 18 years, and have generously allowed our registered neighborhood organization to host meetings and other events in their space.
They recently shared with us that the space was being sold and they now have the opportunity to purchase the building and parking lot that we have been leasing. They need to raise $800,000 (this includes closing costs) as soon as possible. Joyce Neufeld, Executive Director of Community Ministry says, “Our building may not look like much on the outside, but once inside we can provide families with food, provide children with clothing, help families with school supplies and Christmas gifts, and food during the holidays. We also partner with Cooking Matters Colorado to teach cooking/nutrition classes, help people find health care and insurance, provide food for their pets with the help of Colorado Pet Pantry and so much more.”
CBS Denver did a great story on Community Ministry’s efforts to raise funds for their building. Read it here.
Please consider donating to Community Ministry’s building fund so that we can keep this valuable partner in our community!
