Ruby Hill Rail Yard, Denver’s one-of-a-kind urban terrain park for skiers and snowboarders, typically opens annually in early January (weather permitting). Located at the intersection of Platte River Drive and Jewell Avenue in Ruby Hill Park, the rail yard provides a FREE winter snowsport experience in an urban setting. It’s an annual collaborative effort between Denver Parks and Recreation, Winter Park Resort and Christy Sports. The features consist of varying configurations and skill levels including a number of beginner-friendly boxes and rails. Free rental gear is also generally available, although the times and requirements vary.
