District 4 Commander’s Meeting, 6/10/15

Thank you to Austin Buckingham for taking notes at the June 10 District 4 Commanders Meeting.
Call 911 for crimes in progress.
Call District 4 non-emergency dispatch 720-913-2000 for crimes not in progress.
Call 311 for all other City and County of Denver complaints, issues & services.
Please note: You must be willing to leave your name, phone number and file a complaint. Many crimes cannot be investigated or prosecuted unless there is a victim or an impacted community person. If you do not file a complaint, there is no victim and no impacted community person. When you call the police and they ask if you would be willing to file a complaint, your answer needs to be “yes!”
- District 4 has had 4,000 crimes this year to date (June 10). Heat maps were presented at the meeting.
- The Vietnamese community will have a Moon Festival on September 27, 2015.
- A DURA (Denver Urban Renewal Authority) grant has been received for Federal Blvd between Alameda and Mississippi, for the purpose of designating this area as a specific Asian area and the grant will be used for improvements along this corridor.
- It was stated that this District 4 has 10-20 police on the street at any given time.
