Public Meeting: Stormwater Improvements at Sanderson Gulch

Denver Public Works is planning stormwater improvements at Sanderson Gulch between Sanderson Gulch Park and the S. Platte River. The project construction will begin in February 2018 and last about 12 months. You are invited to learn about this project, which will:

• reduce flood risk and improve habitat and water quality
• increase public safety and recreational enjoyment

During construction there will be temporary and partial road closures along S. Platte River Drive. S. Lipan Street at W. Arkansas Avenue will be closed and access to the southeast corner of Sanderson Gulch Park will be restricted.

Spanish Language interpretation will be provided at the public meeting.

Denver Public Works (Obras Públicas de Denver) se encuentra planificando las mejoras de aguas pluviales en Sanderson Gulch entre Sanderson Gulch Park y el río South Platte. La construcción del proyecto empezará en febrero del 2018 y tendrá una duración de unos 12 meses. Lo invitamos a conocer más sobre este proyecto, el cual:

• disminuirá el riesgo de inundación y mejorará el hábitat y calidad del agua
• aumentará la seguridad pública y el gusto recreativo

Durante la construcción habrá cierres de carreteras temporales y parciales en las calles S. Platte River. S. Lipan en la avenida W. Arkansas se cerrará y se restringirá el acceso a la esquina sudeste de Sanderson Gulch Park.

Se ofrecerá interpretación de español en la reunión pública.
