Celebrate your own neighborhood or learn about a new part of town. Each month we’ll be entertained by the finest artists and cultural groups in our community while we also learn the history of the neighborhood and current issues affecting residents—and ways to take action.
For the first month, we’ll be celebrating with music and poetry at one of Denver’s jewels: Ruby Hill Park (by the sun dial) with:
- Soul Pros
- Venus Cruz
- Bluebook
- Molina Speaks
- Kenny Be
- Youth MCs from Athmar Park
- Athmar and Decker Libraries
- 9 to 5 Colorado
- COLOR
- Colorado Progressive Coalition/Rights for All People
- Mi Casa Resource Center
- and more music and resources to be added soon…….
It’s FREE!
($5 suggested donation. No one turned away for lack of funds)
We’ll have food trucks, childcare, and English/Spanish translation available as well as a Bubble Tower and Stilt Party!
Learn about:
- the Levitt Pavilion plans (with 50 free concerts per year)
- the Justice for Janitors history and current campaign
- the new mountain bike trails in the park
