Ruby Hill Park – Stompin’ Ground Games

October 3, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Celebrate your own neighborhood or learn about a new part of town. Each month we’ll be entertained by the finest artists and cultural groups in our community while we also learn the history of the neighborhood and current issues affecting residents—and ways to take action.

For the first month, we’ll be celebrating with music and poetry at one of Denver’s jewels: Ruby Hill Park (by the sun dial) with:

It’s FREE!
($5 suggested donation. No one turned away for lack of funds)

We’ll have food trucks, childcare, and English/Spanish translation available as well as a Bubble Tower and Stilt Party!

Learn about:

  • the Levitt Pavilion plans (with 50 free concerts per year)
  • the Justice for Janitors history and current campaign
  • the new mountain bike trails in the park
  • personal stories from residents of Ruby Hill-Godsman, Athmar Park, Overland, Baker and other neighborhoods near the park
  • issues of accessibility, transportation, housing, equity and more, using interactive and artistic activities

This event is sponsored by Warm Cookies of the Revolution, a “civic health club”. They would also like to thank the neighborhood associations of: Ruby Hill-Godsman, Athmar Park and Overland and co-sponsors of this month’s event: Greater Than Collective and Levitt Pavilion. And of course, our partners: Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, Rose Community Foundation, Denver Foundation’s Arts Affinity Group, Colorado Art Tank, Innovate for Good, Denver Arts and Venues Imagine 2020, Biennial of the Americas, and History Colorado.
