RNO Opportunity: The Denver Solar Co-op

Solar United Neighbors and the City and County of Denver have partnered to support the Denver Solar Co-op, a vendor-neutral solar bulk-purchasing program to support a streamlined process for home and business owners to go solar. (Denver Post article, CBS4 segment)

We invite your Registered Neighborhood Organization to participate in helping spread the word about this program, including partnering to host a local or regional solar information session for your neighborhood. Please see the attached RNO flyer and supporting materials for more information. Let me know by September 16th if you would like to schedule an information session for your area.

Our Colorado program was started with solar co-ops in Fort Collins and the Yampa Valley earlier this year, so far securing a combined $1.2 million+ of investment and half a megawatt of solar capacity in those communities. We’re excited to now bring this opportunity to Denver for our community to create jobs, keep energy dollars local, and support our community’s commitment to a sustainable and renewable energy future by making solar more accessible to all.
