Upcoming Denver Accessibility Listening Sessions
The National Civic League is partnering with the Denver Division of Disability Rights to hold multiple listening sessions throughout Denver on accessibility issues of City and County facilities. These sessions seek to gather input from people with disabilities on barriers and obstacles to using facilities owned by the City, including parks, libraries, recreation centers, and government buildings. The feedback will inform long-ranging plans related to physical and programmatic access in the City and County of Denver. We want to hear from the disability community who may not regularly be heard from, including individuals with visible and non-visible disabilities and particularly from people of color with disabilities. We encourage loved ones, advocates, and organizations in the disability community to participate.
Please see the attachment for the list of upcoming in-person meetings. We have also created a SurveyMonkey for individuals to share their experiences online, linked here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZHQZBMB
Would you please share both the list of upcoming Accessibility Listening Sessions and the related SurveyMonkey with your Denver-based networks?
If you have any questions or comments please contact Keiva Hummel, National Civic League’s Civic Engagement Program Director, at keivah. We look forward to hearing from you!
